Heart Throb

When the heart starts to beat quicker than normal and it makes the individual feel uncomfortable, we call it heart throat. If the heartbeat starts to pass the highest normal value of 100 to 140, the patient must immediately visit a doctor.

As heart throb can be result of excitement, stress, running fast or excessive caffeine consumption and it may also be a symptom of arrhythmia. The situations, which heart throb is dangerous must be specified by cardiologists.

Frequently, throb develops without any serious heart disease, however occasionally it may be a symptom of a life threatening disease.  Sometimes, throbs come up as attacks. Throb complaints can go away by themselves, but occasionally they may last very long and require treatment. Throb may make the patient feel “excited” and “heavy beating” on their chests.

What Are The Causes of Heart Throb?
For the right diagnosis of the causes of heart throbs that pass the value of 140, ECHO test, thyroid tests and anaemia test must be conducted with blood tests. With these tests, it can be diagnosed if the heart throb depends on physiological caused by excitement, stress, running fast or excessive caffeine consumption (sinus tachycardia) or the result of an arrhythmia.

The easiest way to examine heart throb at home is to check the pulse speed and value. To do this, you can evaluate your pulse from the inside of your wrist, at the level of your thumb. The individuals who feel the throb or their relatives can count the pulse, if you carefully check if it is regular, it helps a lot to diagnose.

Sometimes, along with the throb, the patient may faint. Also, if there is a serious arrhythmia, the general condition of the patient may worsen. The individual with heart throb must visit a medical centre to have a detailed check up and have an electrocardiography test to check his/her heart rhythm.
