Dr. Suat Gunsel University of Kyrenia Hospital Dialysis Centre provides service to patients who have kidney failure with their hemodialysis units that are designed separately for normal patients and for patients with hepatitis. Both hemodialysis and peritoneum dialysis can be applied at our centre.
Dialysis is a treatment method that takes the fluid-electrolyte change between the suitable dialysis solution and the patients’ blood through a semi-permeable membrane as a basis. Hemodialysis treatment is applied for 2 or 3 days depending on the patients clinical state and each treatment session lasts for about 4 hours. 30-40 years ago, patients who lost their life to late term kidney failure within days or weeks, can now live a long life at high quality standards thanks to this treatment method.
