Dr. Suat Günsel University of Kyrenia Hospital Dietician Asena Mertdağ underlined the importance of avoiding fried foods and pastries, increasing water intake and consuming green menus which includes salad and fruits during summer.
Dr. Suat Günsel University of Kyrenia Hospital Dietician Asena Mertdağ stated that these days as the temperature rise increases, our eating and drinking habits change. Dietician Asena Mertdağ reminded that we can stay healthy by drinking water and not skipping meals in the summer season and also said that we can lose a lot of fluid in hot conditions therefore the minimum levels of water consumption should be 2-2,5 litres per day.
Instead of soda or coffee you can prefer fresh juice, mineral water and yogurt based drinks

It must not be forgotten that water has the essential benefits for a healthy body and no other drink can replace them. Instead of fried or roasted prefer grilled or boiled food. We should try to eat 2-3 portions of vegetable and 3-4 portions of fruit every day. As for the desserts you can prefer pudding, ice cream or fruit yogurt instead of those with syrup. “
