Dr. Suat Günsel University Hospital, Nephrology Department provides services in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of kidney diseases.

Patients aged 16 and above who apply to the Nephrology Clinic, a sub-specialty under the Department of Internal Medicine, are offered diagnostic and treatment services for kidney failure, hypertension, diabetic nephropathy, electrolyte imbalances, urinary anomalies, and similar conditions. Services also include the protection and monitoring of kidney functions.

Additionally, the evaluation of the adverse effects on the kidneys of systemic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and rheumatological diseases, acute and rapidly developing clinical conditions like fluid loss, heart failure, and bloodstream infections, as well as the impact of long-term medications such as chemotherapy, corticosteroids, and anti-rheumatic drugs is carried out. The planning, implementation, and monitoring of dialysis treatments for patients who have developed kidney failure are also provided.
