Prime Minister Ersin Tatar visited the patients who were transferred to Near East University Hospital, following the outbreak of a fire in Nicosia Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital.
After visiting the patients, Tatar held a press conference with the participation of the Chief Physician of NEU Hospital Prof. Dr. Müfit Cemal Yenen and Chief Physician of Dr. Suat Günsel University of Kyrenia Hospital Prof. Dr. Nail Bulakbaşı.
Tatar noted that there are 42 patients and 11 babies who are under treatment at the NEU Hospital, and said all patients including premature infants are receiving care under the best conditions at NEU Hospital.
Emphasizing that two patients were evacuated to University of Kyrenia Hospital, Ersin Tatar expressed his sadness.
Speaking at the press conference, NEU Hospital Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Müfit Cemal Yenen also noted that after the incident, NEU and University of Kyrenia hospitals took all necessary precautions.
Yenen stated that all patients including the babies are in a stable condition and the treatment of patients in the intensive care continues.
Dr. Suat Günsel University of Kyrenia Hospital. Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Nail Bulakbaşı stated that the patients who were transferred to their hospital are in a good and stable condition and added that their treatment would continue.
